Portsmouth's Jamal Lowe is a man in-demand, with four promotion-hunting Championship sides keen on doing a deal for the 24-year-old.

Sky Sports report that Leeds United, West Brom, Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest have all been monitoring the quick winger.

Lowe can play on either flank and also more centrally if needed and he has been an influential player for Kenny Jackett since arriving at Fratton Park.

He is Pompey's top scorer with ten this season and has impressed with his overall ability too, with the former Barnet man boasting real pace and good technique and is always a threat in the final third.

That, combined with his productivity, means interest was inevitable but the south coast club will be desperate to hand on to their star man.

Jackett's side are currently leading the way in the third tier and look in a strong position to return to the Championship.

Yet, the chance to jump up a division immediately may appeal to Lowe, who had been playing non-league football with Hampton and Richmond Borough in 2016.

The Verdict

This is not the news that Portsmouth fans would've wanted to hear, as Lowe is a major player for them.

However, it's understandable. He has had an outstanding campaign so far and those interested sides clearly see him as a player who can handle the step up.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the coming weeks as Lowe would be a big addition for any of those sides.
