These are frustrating times for Leeds United, who are heading for another season of mediocrity in the Sky Bet Championship.

Leeds haven’t been good enough since the turn of the year, failing to build on a fantastic start to the season.

Now under Paul Heckingbottom, Leeds are having to settle for mid-table, with a play-off push left in tatters after a poor 2018 record.

Heckingbottom will be feeling the pressure at Elland Road, but the playing squad available to him are taking plenty of criticism.

Leeds’ squad lacks leaders, which is a big concern, whilst their strikeforce has faltered without Chris Wood, who last year struck 30 goals across all competitions.

Changes in personnel will be made in the summer, with additions and departures expected as LS11.

With that in mind, we take a look at the current playing squad at Elland Road, identifying THREE players who could be on their way out…

Wiedwald has lost his place in the starting XI to Bailey Peacock-Farrell, after a disappointing run of form in early 2018.

The German goalkeeper’s chances at Elland Road appear to have run out, with a summer move expected.

It’s safe to say Leeds’ decision to place faith in the 28-year-old over Rob Green was a huge mistake.

Sacko failed to improve at Elland Road after agreeing a permanent deal, with the winger an extremely frustrating player to watch.

You doubt the Frenchman will ever be consistent enough to grasp the Championship, which is something Heckingbottom will be discovering.

Unless something drastically changes, we could well have seen the last of Sacko in a Leeds shirt.

People say that Ekuban still needs time to adapt to the English game, but his failure to convert chances is not down to his lack of experience, it is because he simply isn’t good enough.

Ekuban has cost Leeds in recent weeks, and whilst his work off the ball and effort can be applauded, he can’t guarantee the goals that Leeds need.
