Garry Monk has transformed this current Leeds United side and going into the international break, they're sitting in the top-six in the Championship.

After a seriously slow start to the campaign which saw some supporters call for his head, the former Swansea City manager has turned things around.

The Whites just can't stop winning and anyone that suggests they won't be buzzing around the top-six come the end of the season, probably hasn't seen enough of them on the pitch.

They've been absolutely fantastic but in recent weeks, one man has caught our eye in particular.

The man in question? Kalvin Phillips who has stepped up into the first-team with real aplomb.

With Liam Bridcutt sidelined, the youngster really needed to put in some good performance to maintain the Leeds revival and he's done just that with some fantastic performances.

So with that in mind, we think he's a player that very soon, could be destined for the Barclays Premier League.

FLW's Hayden Atkins gives us THREE reasons why...

The improvement has been sublime

A few, including myself, gave Phillips an extremely hard time at the start of the season, especially when things weren't going Leeds' way.

But fast-forward a couple of months and he's a shadow of the player that was a little anxious and naive as the season began.

Quite possibly, his performance in both the wins over Burton and Norwich in recent weeks have been the best, with the youngster really showing his ability to control the midfield for his team.

His passing is his key strength

If there is one thing that really makes a top-quality Premier League midfielder, it's the ability to spray the ball all over the park with seamless ease.

It's what made the likes of Gerrard and Lampard, as well as their ability to score goals. Kalvin Phillips has a superb passing accuracy of 76%, which makes him one of the division's most accurate movers of the ball.

If he can keep that up, then there is no reason why one day, he will be able to take his ability into the Premier League.

He's already got total respect from his team-mates

It was interesting to read that Chris Wood named Phillips as the toughest player in this Leeds United dressing room, despite the fact he is just 20-years-of-age.

The fact he is already garnering this sort of respect in the dressing room from seasoned professional's and internationals speaks volume about his character.

If he was to make the step up to the Premier League, it doesn't look like he'll be out of place at all.
