Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has praised the 'togetherness' of his squad after they defeated Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage last night.

Redfearn was delighted with the victory over Fulham

The win at Craven Cottage propelled the Whites up to 12th place in the Sky Bet Championship, whilst leaving Fulham perilously near the drop zone in 21st place.

Sam Byram, Sol Bamba and Mirco Antenucci scored the goals to earn the three points for the Yorkshire club.

Redfearn was delighted with the victory and speaking to the Leeds official website, he said:

"Even at 3-0, they were still breaking down the sides and still getting balls into the box. Big Matt Smith was a handful, he had two or three chances that he could have scored.

"But Marco was making the saves and we got bodies in the box. When we went down the other end, we were ruthless.

"I thought they were the better side in the first half, they had the better chances.

"I thought we were a little bit deep and we never got after the midfield. They needed a rocket at half-time.

"I think they knew it was coming because they know how I am, but the first goal just deflated them.

"We’ve got a real togetherness about us,"

The defeat meant Fulham have lost 21 times this season in all competitions, and only winning three matches in 19 fixtures since Boxing Day.

Meanwhile, Fulham boss Kit Symons was in a far from happy mood, and felt that Kostas Stafylidis' red card was disappointing to see.

Speaking to West London Sport, Symons said:

“Players sent off certainly doesn’t help. It was a silly, stupid, petulant thing to do,”

“The first one, talking to the linesman, 100% deserved a booking. It’s absolutely ridiculous – there’s no need for that whatsoever.

Leeds United face Blackpool at Bloomfield Road in their next Sky Bet Championship match on Saturday, a game in which Neil Redfearn will be hoping to win.

The Tangerines have been abysmal this season and are all but set for relegation to League One.
