The erratic Italian Massimo Cellino has still not given Leeds boss Steve Evans any indication of whether or not he will remain in the hotseat at Elland Road next season, according to the Yorkshire Post.

A thrilling Yorkshire derby with Hull on the weekend proved unlucky for Leeds, as they put in a superb performance restricting the hosts to minimal chances.

The difference being a world class penalty save from City ace Alann McGregor, which proved paramount in a well fought out Championship clash.

Chris Wood put Evans' side into the lead followed by a well worked equaliser from Uruguayan Abel Hernandez, Hull went on to double the lead through Tom Huddlestone only to be squandered by a late Stuart Dallas equaliser to give a share of the spoils at the KC.

The result meant The Whites extended their unbeaten run to four straight Championship games and adding substantial backing to the already favoured Evans.

The Telegraph and Argus reported that Evans stated in his post match press conference: "Every time we win a match it gives me a better chance of staying – or (finding) another employer.

"I am fortunate I don't sit here wondering how I will pay my bills and I genuinely want the opportunity to deliver a promotion for Leeds United."

Evans later went on to state that he would be very upset to be let go by the Yorkshire giants:

"I don't think annoyance will come into it," he said. "Shedding tears would, disappointment would. This is a special club and I love being a part of it. You are very lucky to be associated with it.
