Leeds United have had their fair share of injuries to key players in recent weeks, but Marcelo Bielsa has been dealt a frustrating blow ahead of their game with Derby this weekend.

Marcelo Bielsa revealed in a pre-match press conference ahead of the game that Tyler Roberts is expected to miss the game against Frank Lampard's side.

Roberts has been a crucial player to rely on to provide the creativity in this Leeds side, and he'll leave a sizeable void in the midfield.

But there are certain to be a number of potential candidates to replace the former West Brom man for the game against Derby on Saturday.

One man who certainly has a point to prove to Bielsa and the Leeds supporters is Izzy Brown, who hasn't endured the loan spell he would have originally hoped for.

The on-loan Chelsea man has been restricted to just one substitute appearance for the Leeds first-team, with injuries playing a significant role as to why he hasn't featured for the Whites.

But since he has returned from injury, Brown hasn't been able to force his way into Marcelo Bielsa's plans in recent weeks, despite him regularly featuring for the Leeds under 23's side this season.

Brown will feel as though he has unfinished business this season with Leeds, and if he can play his part in earning promotion with Bielsa's side, then previous doubts over his ability will be extinguished.

With the likes of Jamie Shackelton and Mateusz Bogusz seemingly ahead of him in the pecking order at Elland Road, Brown will have to do everything he can to prove to Marcelo Bielsa that he can fill the void left by Roberts for the game against Derby.

If he can do that and put in a strong performance against the Rams, then Bielsa could be set for a selection dilemma for the remainder of the play-offs, which can only be a good thing for the Leeds boss.
