Leeds United have a goalkeeping crisis ahead of today's game with Bristol City, with youngster Will Huffer expected to start.

Marcelo Bielsa's men initially lost on-loan keeper Jamal Blackman to a horrific broken leg, before Bailey Peacock-Farrell suffered a minor knee injury in the week.

The setback for Blackman was a real blow, as Bielsa had revealed he was set to start in goal today having been backup for the season so far.

Despite the awful nature of his injury, Blackman is clearly still upbeat and he sent a positive message to his teammates on social media last night.

It also shows a picture of the Chelsea man in training with Peacock-Farrell and Huffer.

The 25-year-old had been praised by Bielsa this week, with the renowned Argentinian boss complimenting the stopper for his attitude and professionalism.

Blackman was a key player for Sheffield United last season and was expected to start for the Whites after arriving at Elland Road but his only appearances came in the League Cup.

He has now returned to Chelsea for treatment on the broken tibia that came during the international break whilst playing for Leeds U23s.

The Verdict

This will be great for the Leeds fans to see as it highlights the team spirit and togetherness in the group.

Blackman is only a loan player, and he didn't play in the league, but he clearly enjoyed his time with the Yorkshire club and he wants them to be successful for the season.

From Leeds' perspective, they will be gutted to have lost the player, particularly as he was set to start today.
