Leeds United moved to the top of the Champinship with a 1-0 away win at Bolton yesterday afternoon.

The Whites have now recorded five successive wins and boast a six-point cushion over third place West Brom as we approach the hectic Christmas period.

One man who has played a big part in that is Ezgjan Alioski, with the Macedonian winger a regular under Marcelo Bielsa.

And, after featuring in the victory over the Trotters, the 26-year-old took to twitter to send a positive message on the performance.

"Not an easy away game but we fought hard until the end! Now an important week and a fantastic game next Sunday! See you there!"

A goal from Patrick Bamford, who was returning from injury, was enough to hand the Whites all three points.

As well as that, Alioski mentioned next week, with Leeds gearing up for a crucial clash against fellow promotion contenders Aston Villa.

Dean Smith's side have been superb since he took over and it will be a real test for the high-flying Yorkshire side.

The Verdict

That was a huge win for Leeds in terms of maintaining their momentum and that's reflected in the positive message from Alioski.

As he says, all attention will now switch to Sunday when they face Villa in what will be a huge game for both sides.

Bielsa's side will approach the game with real belief though and they could send out a real statement with another victory.
