Ben White has insisted that Leeds United must remain focused on themselves if they're to secure automatic promotion to the Premier League.

The Whites recorded back-to-back victories in the last week as they scored wins against Bristol City and Reading, meaning that they're comfortably on track to secure a top two finish.

With 12 games remaining there's still plenty of twists and turns to come, and speaking after the 1-0 victory over the Royals, White believes that they'll be best served by not looking out for the results of those around them in the table.

As quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, White said: “We are all focused on ourselves, we are looking to get our points up and not worry about anyone else.

“Each week we are trying to get the three points and that’s what we will look to continue to do.

“I think we have had some results where we have played really well and we haven’t got the points that we needed.

“In some games, it was scrappy and we didn’t play our best football but we got the three points.

“The results are going our way at the moment so everyone probably thinks we are doing really well but there’s more to be done.”

How many of Leeds United's number 10s can you remember?

The verdict

There's certainly a positive feeling around Elland Road this season.

Despite their recent slump in form, Leeds United are still in an excellent position to end their 16-year exile from the Premier League after getting back to winning ways.

The hope will surely be that the Whites can kick on to get themselves on a steady run of form between now and the end of the season.

If they can then surely you wouldn't bet against them going up.
