Leeds United produced arguably their best performance of the season on Friday night as they thrashed promotion rivals West Brom 4-0 at Elland Road.

It was a perfect team performance from Marcelo Bielsa's men, with winger Jack Harrison once again justifying the Argentinian's faith in him.

The on-loan Manchester City man hasn't always been a favourite with the supporters, but he has played a key role in recent weeks.

Harrison is comfortable in possession, which is vital in a Bielsa team, and is also direct in the way he plays which brings a nice balance to the side.

However, despite establishing himself as a started for much of 2019, the 22-year-old's place will be under threat as several injured players return for the Whites.

The likes of Stuart Dallas and Izzy Brown are back involved with the first-team and news broke earlier this week that Jack Clarke is back in training after a recent illness.

The talented teenager is a clear threat to Harrison's place in the XI, as Pablo Hernandez is sure to start whilst Tyler Roberts is flourishing in a central role behind Patrick Bamford.

That only really leaves one place up for grabs - at the moment occupied by Harrison.

And, whilst he deserves to retain his place for now, the increased competition means he can't afford to let his recent standards drop, whether it's in training or on a matchday.

Ultimately, that's what Leeds need at this stage of the season and having such a competitive squad should drive the players on - and now it's down to Harrison to ensure he keeps his place with more decisive displays.
