Jack Clarke has been a player that has set the Championship alight this season, and he will have a say in whether Leeds are to win promotion to the Premier League.

The 18-year-old has been hugely impressive in his appearances for the Whites and Marcelo Bielsa is sure to be pleased with his contribution so far.

But Clarke's good recent run of form hasn't gone unnoticed, with Manchester City and Tottenham emerging as one of the favourites to sign the winger, according to the Daily Mail.

Clarke's Leeds teammate Jack Harrison has weighed in with his verdict on Clarke's progress this season for the promotion-chasing Whites.

In an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, Harrison was full of praise for the promising youngster who has certainly taken his chance in the starting XI this season.

"He’s a brilliant young player and he only gets better every time he plays," Harrison said.

Harrison also feels as though the sky is the limit with Clarke, whose confidence seems to be growing as the season progresses: "He gets more and more confident and that’s massive as a player. It’s almost as if nothing can stop him."

Both Harrison and Clarke will be hoping to make an impact when Leeds take on out-of-form Stoke City at the weekend, as they look to strengthen their grip on top spot in the Championship.

The Verdict

Clarke is showing promising signs this season.

He may not have seen as much game time as he should have, but he's certainly taking his opportunities with both hands when he does make appearances.

If he can continue this impressive run of form, then he can play a starring role in Leeds' promotion bid this season, with a return to the Premier League being highly likely.
