Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has insisted that the Whites need to work on closing out the game early.

The Manchester City loanee starred in Leeds' win over Swansea City last week - his goal before half-time put them into a 2-0 lead for the majority of the game.

But Marcelo Bielsa's men were made to sweat late on, when despite dominating for a good 85 minutes, Oli McBurnie netted from the spot to get the Swans back into the game.

The Whites did hold on to an invaluable three points, but after speaking to BBC Radio Leeds, Harrison admitted that he and his teammates need to improve on seeing out a game: "We have to improve on this part of the game, just look into close the game out a little bit better."

Bielsa's men have slipped out of the automatic promotion places but have a game in hand on Sheffield United, who thrashed Reading by four goals to nil at the weekend.

The Whites have been dealt a big blow in their hunt for automatic promotion, however, with the news that top goalscorer Kemar Roofe has sustained knee ligament damage and is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

The Verdict

I think Harrison is spot on to be honest, it would have been criminal if Leeds had dropped three points against Swansea as they looked so dominant throughout.

Leeds' defence has been impressive all season long, but I just think they tire out towards the end of the game, much more than other teams do.

It could be down to Bielsa's high intensity training sessions.
