Leeds United head into Tuesday night's clash with Millwall looking for their first win of 2020, having picked up just one point from their last three games.

United have only managed one goal so far this calendar year, an own goal coming in the 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion on New Year's Day.

With the gap between Leeds and third place being shortened to just three points in recent weeks, the team and fans will be eager to see the Whites get back to winning ways when they host the Lions.

Leeds have a good record at Elland Road against Millwall having won six out of the last seven matches against the London-based club at Elland Road.

The two faced off back in October with Millwall coming out as 2-1 winners in a controversial match at The Den, which saw Gaetano Berardi sent off, a decision which was later rescinded.

Speaking to BBC Radio Leeds on Monday, Leeds' Stuart Dallas acknowledged that the Whites certainly owe Millwall for what happened three months ago.

"They are in decent form, they've won four or five in the league but we owe them. They turned us over down at their place earlier in the season and we know it will be a difficult game and what threats they pose."

"We need to concentrate on ourselves and how we play and try and play as well as we have been doing," the Northern Irishman added.

Dallas has featured 28 times in the league so far for Marcelo Bielsa's and featured in the defeat at The Den earlier this term.

The Verdict

It is actually refreshing to hear a player be honest in this situation rather than giving a 'safe' answer about other teams.

Leeds certainly felt like they were robbed down in South London earlier in the season and will see this as motivation to get one over on Gary Rowett's side.

Although the Whites posses an impressive home record over Millwall, they must be wary of the threat they will pose after winning three of their last four league games.

Should Leeds start brightly on Tuesday and manage an early goal, Millwall could be there for the taking.
