Leeds United have announced that their clash with Hull City has been rearranged for Tuesday January 30th, after the two clubs were forced to reschedule due to the FA Cup fourth-round, as reported by Leeds’ official website.

Thomas Christiansen’s Leeds side were sent crashing out of the FA Cup on Sunday by Newport County, who were deserving 2-1 winners over the Sky Bet Championship outfit at Rodney Parade.

Whilst Leeds were knocked out, Hull progressed after a 1-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

Nigel Adkins’ side will now face Nottingham Forest in the fourth-round on January 27th, meaning their scheduled fixture with Leeds will be pushed back to the Tuesday evening.

On a side note, it know gives Leeds confirmation of the games Samuel Saiz will miss during the six-match suspension following his red-card in the clash with Newport.

Saiz will miss fixtures against Ipswich Town, Millwall, Hull, Cardiff City, Sheffield United and Bristol City, and will return for the Whites on February 20th, when Leeds travel to the Pride Park Stadium to face Derby County.

The Verdict

Leeds’ supporters will be delighted to know that Saiz misses the fixture against Hull rather than the one against Derby, as Christiansen will surely want to call on his playmaker against a promotion rival.

Otherwise, the rescheduling of the fixture is not a big deal for Leeds, who will take a welcome break the weekend before their trip to the KCOM Stadium.
