Leeds United are locked in a transfer tussle with League One promotion hopefuls Coventry City to the potential signing of Samuel Yohou according to Le10 Sport.

The defender has been a regular for Paris FC this season over in France, but is out-of-contract at the end of this year's campaign, which has heightened interest in his services.

The French season has been concluded early as well, although a potential move to England is likely to be put on hold until the 2019/20 season has been completed.

The 28-year-old has been with Paris FC since 2017, and has clearly made a good impression in his time with the club to date.

A move to Leeds could be tempting for Yohou as well, with Marcelo Bielsa's side currently sat top of the Championship table, with just nine games remaining this season.

Whilst a move to Coventry City is likely to be tempting for the defender as well, with the Sky Blues well in contention to win promotion into the second tier this term.

However, recent off-the-field events have brought both Leeds and Coventry's promotion bids to an abrupt halt, with no scheduled return date being set as of yet by the relevant authorities.

The Verdict:

This would be a risky move for Leeds in particular.

If he's a player that Bielsa has targeted himself, then you have to trust his judgement, as he's already shown that he can get the best out of players.

But if Leeds win promotion into the Premier League, then surely he won't be getting anywhere near the starting XI for the Yorkshire-based side?

A move to Coventry City will surely be tempting though, as he's much more likely to be getting much-needed regular game time with Mark Robins' side, even if they are to win promotion into the Championship.
