Leeds are interested in signing Hull City winger Jarrod Bowen when the transfer window opens as Marcelo Bielsa looks to add to his squad for a promotion push.

The talented 22-year-old has once again been the standout player for the Tigers this season and has scored eight goals and created three in a productive campaign so far.

And, according to BBC Humberside Sport, the Whites are 'expected to lodge a multi-million pound offer shortly' as they look to secure a deal for the player.

It's no secret that the Championship leaders are keen on strengthening their squad in the window and the side do look short in the final third.

Attacking midfielder Samuel Saiz is joining La Liga side Getafe in the New Year, whilst Jack Harrison and Lewis Baker have not made the impact Leeds would've hoped for since joining on loan.

Meanwhile, Izzy Brown is returning from a long lay-off, which has meant a lot has been asked of youngster Jack Clarke in recent weeks.

However, Nigel Adkins will be desperate to keep hold of his star man, as Bowen has been key to Hull over the past 18 months.

The Verdict

If Leeds could do a deal for Bowen it would be superb business and he is a player that looks to have the qualities to thrive in a Bielsa side.

He is direct, quick and hardworking and would surely relish the chance to join a club that have a real chance of playing in the Premier League next season.

It would require a big fee for Leeds to convince Hull to sell but this is the time for Andrea Radrizzani to back Bielsa as much as he can and Bowen could be a shrewd investment if he helps them secure promotion.
