Leeds United are lining up a move for Rotherham United winger Kieran Agard, according to sports journalist Russ Vernon.

The 24-year-old winger has been watched by Leeds United scouts on several occasions this season at the New York Stadium.

Agard is out of contract in the summer and the winger has not agreed a new deal at the club, so Leeds could snap up the highly-rated winger on a free transfer.

The versatile winger has amassed an impressive 25 goals in all competitions for Rotherham, and he has been a standout performer in the league.

However, Rotherham manager Steve Evans insists he does not want to sell their star player. Evans told the Yorkshire Post: “Kieran has to be up there as one of the players of the year in League One.

“For a right-sided player to get so many goals, if it had happened at many other clubs they would have been touting him about. But we don’t want to sell. We cannot put a value on
Kieran. As far as I am concerned, unless someone offers something totally outrageous for him, he won’t be going anywhere else.”
