Donaldson is wanted by Leeds

Donaldson enjoyed a superb debut season at the Blues and netted 16 goals in all competitions as Gary Rowett’s men secured a tenth placed Championship finish.

Leeds are thought to be the club in pole position for the player’s signature with new boss Uwe Rosler making a big target man his summer priority.

Rosler is a big fan of Donaldson and once signed the player for Brentford from Crewe Alexandra during his time as the Bees’ boss.

The Whites have already signed striker Lee Erwin from Motherwell this summer, but the new manager is keen to secure a striker with Championship experience also.

It is thought that Reading and Ipswich Town are also interested in the player and Rosler will face competition to secure his man.

Blues’ boss Gary Rowett will no doubt wish to keep his star striker but with money sparse at St. Andrews, the club could be forced to sell one of their prized assets.

Leeds fans.. Would you welcome Donaldson to Elland Road?
