Leeds United are among a trio of Football League clubs chasing Partick Thistle defender Liam Lindsay, according to The Daily Record.
League Two promotion hopefuls Portsmouth and Championship outfit Birmingham City are also interested in a January move for Lindsay.
The 6’3” centre half is an imposing figure at the back and is renowned for his aerial presence.
The 21-year-old has already featured over 50 times for Partick Thistle despite his young age, after making his debut in 2013.
He has also had loan stints at Alloa Athletic and Aidrieonians.
Lindsay offers a threat from set pieces as well as his defensive contributions and scouts from Leeds, Birmingham and Portsmouth were in attendance to watch Partick’s Scottish Premier League clash with Dundee on Wednesday night.
Any potential move would have to be subject to a fairly hefty transfer fee, though, after Lindsay recently committed his long term future to the Jags with his current deal now ending in 2019.
