Leeds United are keeping tabs on the situation of 19-year-old Arsenal defender Isaac Hayden, according to FLW sources.
Leeds’ Italian owner Massimo Cellino is eager to add more depth to the Yorkshire club’s defense before the end of the transfer window, and is targeting a move for the promising Arsenal centre-back.
The versatile defender came through the Southend youth academy and then moved to the Gunners in 2013.
The 19-year-old has made one appearance for the Arsenal senior team during a League Cup game against West Bromwich Albion in 2013.
Hayden, who can also operate in a defensive midfield position, has been involved in the England youth setup, from under-16 level to under-19 level
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is willing to let the defender go out on loan to accumulate first-team experience.
