Bright Osayi-Samuel has emerged on the radar of Leeds United, with the Queens Park Rangers winger receiving regular check-ups from the promotion-chasing Whites.

Leeds will be looking for attacking reinforcements when the summer transfer window eventually opens, with Football Insider revealing that they’ve been making regular checks on QPR ace, Osayi-Samuel.

The winger’s future at QPR is up in the air, with his deal entering its final 18 months, which has led to a host of Championship interest, with Leeds’ promotion rivals West Brom also linked.

However, it has been revealed that Leeds have been keeping tabs on the 22-year-old for some time and were impressed with his form pre-postponement.

This season, the winger has managed 29 appearances for QPR in the Championship, with Osayi-Samuel returning five goals and seven assists for Mark Warburton’s energetic side.

In Leeds’ clash with QPR at Loftus Road earlier in 2020, Osayi-Samuel tormented Leeds left-back Stuart Dallas, with the Northern Irishman replaced at half-time; Nahki Wells’ goal secured a 1-0 win for the R’s.

Osayi-Samuel, who had a spell with Blackpool earlier in his career, has been the subject of a £3m Club Brugge offer, according to Sky Sports.

The Verdict

Osayi-Samuel is a real talent and given his somewhat uncertain future at QPR, it is easy to see why a number of clubs are already looking at snapping him up.

Leeds would be a good destination for the winger, should they win promotion to the Premier League, with Marcelo Bielsa a manager that could really enhance his game.

It’s worth noting the sea of wingers Bielsa has available to him, however, with Osayi-Samuel at the age now where he needs to be making the right career choices.
