Leeds United are reportedly holding further talks with Blackburn Rovers over a potential deal for defender Barry Douglas according to the Daily Mail.
The Scotsman has struggled for consistent game time with the Whites in recent seasons, which has hinted that his future could lie elsewhere in the near future.
Douglas made just 15 league appearances for Leeds last term, as they won a long-awaited promotion back into the Premier League under the management of Marcelo Bielsa.
He hasn't been in the Leeds starting XI on a consistent basis due to various injury problems, and with the Yorkshire-based side now playing their football in the top-flight, it seems even more likely that he could be heading for a temporary exit from Elland Road.
A move to Blackburn Rovers could be tempting for Douglas as well, with Tony Mowbray's side looking to mount a serious challenge for promotion into the Premier League themselves this term.
Rovers are currently sat sixth in the Championship after their opening four matches of the 2020/21 season, and will fancy their chances of building on some strong performances of late.
Blackburn are set to return to action this weekend, when they take on Nottingham Forest, in what could potentially be a tricky test against Chris Hughton's side.
The club only have until Friday evening to complete a deal to sign Douglas though, with the summer transfer window slamming shut at 5pm.

The Verdict:
I think this could be a decent signing for Blackburn.
Douglas has already shown that he can perform to a high standard in the Championship, having played a starring role with Wolves in their promotion-winning season not so long ago.
It's been a frustrating few seasons for the defender in terms of regular game time, so you would imagine that he'll be keen to get back to his best at the earliest of opportunities.
A move to Blackburn could present him with the ideal opportunity to do just that, and I really wouldn't be surprised if this deal was completed, as it's a move that suits all parties involved.
