Ruddock's little dig at Leeds United was picked up by the club's official Twitter account, who posted their own memory of them coming up against him.

Leeds posted a video of them beating Ruddock and his West Ham team-mates later on in his career, which certainly went down well with Leeds supporters.

The Whites could make a long-awaited return to the Premier League this season, and they are well in contention to do just that.

Marcelo Bielsa's side are currently sat 3rd in the Championship table, and if their fate lies in their own hands which will be pleasing to hear for Leeds United supporters.

They'll be hoping to keep the pressure on their promotion rivals with a positive result against Bolton Wanderers this weekend at Elland Road.

The Verdict:

He won't be able to take the feel-good factor away from Leeds supporters.

The fact that the club have picked up on his sly dig, and have responded in hilarious fashion, just sums up the mood around Elland Road at the moment.

It's this type of attitude that is what is needed for Leeds to win promotion to the Premier League this season.
