Championship side Leeds United have been handed a summer transfer boost with the news that midfielder John McGinn could be sold at the right price.

In a report by the Bristol Post quoting comments from Sky Sports, the Hibernian Chief Exec. Leann Dempster revealed she wouldn't be surprised if the club 'was tested' by a few other clubs this summer in terms of a bid for the young midfielder.

McGinn has shot into the spotlight over the last 12 months and has become a key man for both Hibs and Scotland, and Champions Celtic are known to be monitoring his progress with a keen eye.

However, Leeds are also interested, and will be encouraged by the comments from the Hibs chief, who said it would be 'welcome' if the club were to receive a significant transfer fee for one of its players.

Still only 23, McGinn already has nine caps for Scotland and should go on to become a regular for his country if his rate of development continues. Celtic will no doubt be favourites to sign the player, but Leeds will be hoping the lure of English football, and a potential new manager in Marcelo Bielsa, could well tempt the Scot to make the move south.

Leeds fans, what do you make of McGinn? Good signing? Let us know in the comments!
