NEC manager Ernest Faber is expecting Leeds United to sign winger Anthony Limbombe before Monday’s transfer deadline, according to HITC.
Limbombe is a long-term target of the Yorkshire club after they were heavily linked with a move for the 21-year old in the 2015 Summer transfer window.
No move went through last summer, but the Yorkshire Post reported last week that the club had submitted a £1 million bid for the Belgian. It is believed that Limbombe wants to move away from the club.
His manager Ernest Faber is quoted by HITC as saying “I think that something will happen.”
Limbombe currently plays for NEC in the Dutch Eredivisie, who sit in 5th place with 34 points from 21 games and are in contention for a place in the Europa League next season.
The Belgian has scored six goals and has one assist this term, and in total has 19 goals in his 50 appearances for the Dutch side. He signed for the club in 2014 from Racing Genk.
