Leeds United manager Thomas Christiansen says he is 'confident' as his side prepare for a tough game with Middlesbrough this weekend.

Speaking to the club's official website, Christiansen was in buoyant mood, despite a run of form which has seen the Whites slip well away from promotion contention and notch up only two victories in their last nine games.

"We are feeling good, we are confident and we expect to have a good result,” said Christiansen. "We have had time to change this situation, we cannot continue suffering these defeats, we need to come back and take points now.

“It has been positive over the international break, we have worked well physically and specifically on Sunday’s match."

The Leeds manager also added that his players are 'always positive' and there has been no drop in the faith the squad has in both the management team and the rest of the squad.

Leeds had gotten off to a superb start this season but their poor run has seen frustrations begin to grow around Elland Road, with manager Christiansen coming under the first sort of pressure he has experienced since taking the reigns at Elland Road.

A win over Middlesbrough this weekend though will do the fans and the club the world of good as they look to get back on track over the busy winter period.
