Pawel Cibicki’s Leeds United exit is edging closer, with Molde looking to complete a loan deal for the out-of-favour forward.

According to Expressen, Cibicki could’ve found himself a new club ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, with Molde keen to offer the 24-year-old a chance to move to Norway.

A deal, expected to be on-loan, could be completed in the coming weeks, if the two parties agree terms for his move.

Cibicki only arrived at Leeds last August, with the forward agreeing a four-year deal with Leeds to take him through to the summer of 2021.

However, Cibicki struggled to make an impact at Elland Road, featuring on just 10 occasions across all competitions for the Whites and returning only two assists.

Seven of Cibicki’s appearances came in the Championship under Thomas Christiansen, with Paul Heckingbottom opting not to use the forward during his 16 fixtures in-charge.

Marcelo Bielsa is now Leeds’ head-coach, with the 62-year-old admitting in Monday’s press conference that he felt Leeds had 15 players more than they needed ahead of the new season.

Cibicki could be one of that 15, with Molde chasing a deal for the 24-year-old, who hasn’t featured for the Whites since January.

The Verdict

Cibicki’s year at Elland Road has been a major disappointment, with the forward not adapting at all to English football.

Bielsa looks set to make some big changes ahead of next season, with Cibicki looking set to be part of the exodus at Elland Road.

A move away from England seems like a logical step for Cibicki to take at this stage of his career.
