Ian Poveda may not have made his Leeds United debut, but it was still a night to remember for the new signing.

The 19-year-old completed a permanent move to Elland Road on Friday evening after joining on a four-and-a-half year deal.

Poveda was named as a substitute for Tuesday night's 3-2 victory over Millwall but didn't make it onto the pitch as the Whites completed a stunning comeback.

But that didn't stop the winger from enjoying his first experience with the Leeds United squad as he took to social media after the game.

He said: "What a night! Great work from the lads never giving up! Man like Postman Pat.+3 points.

"Fans, you lot are unbelievable, it ain’t fair for the others..."

Can you remember Leeds' first 12 results this season?

The verdict

While Ian Poveda will be disappointed not to have made it onto the pitch against Millwall, there's plenty of time for him to make his debut for the club.

The 19-year-old has penned a long-term deal at Elland Road meaning that opportunities will come in the next few weeks.

Poveda clearly enjoyed the experience of being part of the Leeds squad on such a dramatic night and it seems that he's settling into life in West Yorkshire with ease.

He'll certainly be hoping for more dramatic nights in a Leeds United shirt in the weeks and months ahead.
