You Leeds United bounced back from a defeat to Millwall before the international break as they narrowly beat Birmingham City at Elland Road by a goal to nil.

The Whites dominated the game in terms of statistics, but were unable to take the majority of chances that came their way on Saturday.

But Kalvin Phillips' goal on 65 minutes proved to be enough for Marcelo Bielsa's side on the day, and it means they move up to second in the Championship table, just two points behind West Brom.

One player that continued his impressive form for Leeds was Ben White, with the Brighton loanee being part of the defensive line that kept a well-deserved clean sheet against Pep Clotet's men.

White took to Instagram following the win, and labelled the support from the Elland Road faithful as 'unbelievable'.

White signed for Leeds in the summer transfer window, and has gone on to be a key player for Bielsa's side as they look to win a long-awaited promotion into the Premier League.

Leeds are next in action on Tuesday when they take on Preston North End, in what could be a potentially tricky test for Bielsa's side after the Lilywhites were surprisingly beaten by Reading on Saturday.

The Verdict:

They'll be delighted to move back into the automatic promotion places with this win.

I think that Leeds could still do more in front of goal, and haven't blown teams away compared to what we saw from Bielsa's side last season.

But White will be pleased that he could be part of the team that kept a clean sheet against a Birmingham team that caused them problems at times on Saturday.

They need to find some consistency in their performances if they're to win promotion to the Premier League this season.
