Derby County ran out shock winners at Elland Road as they beat Leeds United took book their place in the Championship play-off final at Wembley.

The win sparked jubilant scenes amongst Derby supporters on the night, with a number of Derby players celebrating with the spygate celebration that Leeds players previously mocked them over.

The Rams will now take on Aston Villa for a place in the Premier League, and both sets of staff have seemingly been in a good mood heading into the game.

Aston Villa coach, John Terry seemed in high spirts, as he poked fun at Leeds fans over the spygate saga with a somewhat cheeky pose on Jody Morris' Instagram.

With Derby overcoming the challenge of Leeds, it means that Terry will face-off with his former Chelsea team-mate, Frank Lampard in a tense clash at Wembley.

Both teams have been equally impressive this season, but the Villans will surely be favourites heading into this one after being on such a good run of form since the turn of the year.

Leeds will be hoping that they can go one step further than this season when they get next year's campaign underway in August, and the Elland Road faithful will be hoping that key players can remain with the club to aid their promotion bid.

The Verdict:

Leeds fans and players will be regretting celebrating too early with this one.

They can't have reason to complain here either, but Terry's latest action certainly won't go down well with the Elland Road faithful after such a tense encounter in midweek.

It's a lose-lose for Leeds fans and it's difficult to judge who they'll be supporting at Wembley in the play-off final later this month.
