Leeds United will be desperate to go one step better during the 2019/20 season and win promotion back to the Premier League after coming so agonisingly close.

The Whites were edged out of the top-two by Sheffield United before being beaten dramatically by Derby County in the play-off semi-finals.

Now, the transfer window looks essential. Marcelo Bielsa has committed himself to the club for another season and they must now strengthen over the summer.

And the latest name to be linked with a move to Elland Road is Bristol City's highly-rated midfielder Josh Brownhill, according to Sky Sports News Transfer Centre (07/09, 09:56am).

The 23-year-old was one of the Robins stand-out performers last season as the Robins narrowly missed out on the top-six, scoring five goals and assisting four more.

Central midfield is an area where Leeds struggled last season with Kalvin Phillips the only consistent performer in that role.

But how should the fans be feeling about this?

Brownhill is one of the Championship's brightest prospects so I think Leeds fans should be very excited about this potential move.

At 23 he would be a very smart investment but also provide the perfect partner for Phillips in midfield.

Adam Forshaw has been unconvincing and question marks remain over whether Jamie Shackleton is ready for a starting spot, so this is a signing that makes an awful lot of sense.
