Leeds United are seemingly on course to land Abel Hernandez’s signature this summer, with the Whites in advanced talks to sign the striker.

The Yorkshire Evening Post have suggested that Leeds are in the driving seat to secure Hernandez’s service, following his Hull City departure.

The 27-year-old striker scored 39 goals across a four-year stay with Hull, with his time in the Championship proving to be particularly prolific.

Over 20 goals were scored during the 2015/16 campaign, as Hull secured promotion, whilst Hernandez was also prolific last season during an injury-hit campaign.

The striker bagged eight goals in just 10 appearances.

Many of Leeds’ supporters are thrilled about he potential arrival of the Uruguayan, who would be expected to play a leading role at Elland Road.

Here at FLW, we took to Twitter to ask Leeds’ supporters if they were confident Hernandez would score over 15 goals for them next season, should he sign.

After building a great reputation at Hull, Leeds’ supporters are confident Hernandez would be a success, with 72% of voters in our poll backing the 27-year-old to score over 15 goals.

Just 28% of our voters believe Hernandez will not score a considerable amount of goals.
