Leeds United are eyeing up a move for Chesterfield star Tendayi Darikwa, according to the Sun.
The 6ft 2 full-back, who usually operates on the right and can also play in midfield, was a target for the Red Devils after being watched by Manchester United last season while he was impressing in Sky Bet League Two.
After winning the title and achieving promotion to Sky Bet League One, he’s had another wonderful season, helping his side finish in the play-offs. He won both fan’s player of the year and player’s player of the year last week.
Leeds United are now chasing a deal for the 23-year-old, and although it’s not certain that Neil Redfearn will be the manager at Elland Road next season, he will hope to be part of the Redfearn reveloution as he attempts to lift Leeds back to the Premier League.
Chesterfield finished sixth in Sky Bet League One, amassing 69 points, whilst Leeds United ended up in 15th spot, accumulating 56 points in the Sky Bet Championship.
