Reports are emerging that Leeds United have contacted Harry Redknapp over the possibility of him becoming the club's new manager.

Redknapp to Leeds United?

The Whites are looking for a new boss after dismissing Uwe Rosler on Monday morning, following Saturday's 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion.

According to the London Evening Standard, the veteran boss has been sounded out by the Leeds hierarchy over a return to management at the Championship club.

Ex-Rotherham United boss Steve Evans is thought to be taking training at the club's training ground today but the club may target a bigger name in the world of football.

Redknapp would be a shrewd appointment for Leeds if they can persuade him to drop back into the Championship.

During his last stint in the second tier, he took Queens Park Rangers to the Championship Play-Off Final, where they were victorious over Derby County.

During his tenure with Tottenham Hotspur however, he failed to get on with chairman Daniel Levy, which suggests that he may also struggle to cooperate with Leeds' acromonious owner Massimo Cellino.
