According to reports on HITC Sport, Sky Bet Championship side Leeds United are amongst a host of clubs who are chasing Wigan Athletic midfielder Chris McCann.
After relegation into the third tier of English football, the Latics now face a tough battle to keep hold of their star players like McCann and former boss Uwe Rosler is keen to bring the midfielder into his new club.
Sources close to the club believe that Leeds are the club in pole position for the midfielder who has only recently recovered from a serious knee injury that he picked up last March in the FA Cup quarter final against Premier League side Manchester City.
McCann made 18 appearances for Rosler last term in the championship and the new Leeds United boss is reportedly keen to raid his former club for their prized assets.
The 27 year old is also believed to want out of the League One side and having made over 250 appearances in his career, the wealth of experience would defiantly add something to the Leeds United squad that they haven’t already got.
