Leeds United are considering making a move for Leicester City defender Liam Moore, HITC Sport understands.
Sources suggest that Whites boss Uwe Rosler has made signing a centre-half a top priority this summer and has identified the 22-year-old as the ideal target.
The German signed Moore on loan whilst in charge of Brentford and the defender impressed during his short spell at the West London club.
Moore has fallen out of favour at Leicester after being a regular at the start of last season. The signing of Stoke City’s Robert Huth in January saw the defender fall down the pecking order at the King Power Stadium.
He rejoined the Bees for a second loan spell in February but was recalled by Nigel Pearson after an injury to Matthew Upson.
Leeds face competition from Premier League and rival Championship clubs who are monitoring Moore’s situation at Leicester.
The defender has been included in the England Under-21 squad for the upcoming European Championship in Czech Republic.
Born in Loughborough, Moore came through the youth ranks at Leicester and has made 59 appearances for the Foxes.
