Leeds United and Manchester City are set to combine forces with Pep Guardiola ready to help Marcelo Bielsa out in the transfer window, according to a report by The Sun.

Guardiola will loan some of his young starlets out to Leeds this summer and the first player expected to be heading to Elland Road is goalkeeper Angus Gunn.

Leeds are hoping to sign a new goalkeeper this summer after letting Felix Wiedwald return to Germany.

They are not content with Andy Lonergan while Bailey Peacock-Farrell is still young and needs some competition.

Gunn, 22, played every match for Norwich City last season, impressing between the sticks with his mature performances and even earning a senior England call-up.

Bielsa is also considering moves for centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo, attacking midfielder Brahim Diaz and forward Lukas Nmecha.

Guardiola will allow the trio to head out on loan to gain valuable first-team experience and he likes Bielsa's style of play as "El Loco" utilises high-press tactics and a passing brand of football.

The Argentine is set to strike a special relationship with Man City as he prepares his team for next summer.

The Verdict

This is fantastic news for Leeds as they will be able to tap into one of the best academies in English football.

Gunn is exactly what they need; a short-term fix in goal and it gives Peacock-Farrell a year to grow, improve and compete for the jersey.

Adarabioyo immediately improves their centre-half options, Diaz is so good that West Ham are desperately hankering for him and Nmecha is prolific at youth level.
