Leeds United are still interested in signing Besiktas winger Jeremian Lens on a loan-to-buy deal, according to reports from Aksam via Sport Witness.

News surfaced last week that the Whites were in attendance as the 31-year-old netted a brace in Besiktas' 3-2 Europa League victory over Sarpsborg, taking the winger's tally up to four goals for the campaign.

And reports claim that Leeds remain interested in landing the former Sunderland winger, with the report also claiming that Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign him initially on a loan deal, before signing him for permanent in the summer.

Lens is widely known for his spell in Sunderland, where he made just 24 appearances for the North East club, finding the back of the net just four times.

The Whites currently sit 2nd in the Sky Bet Championship table, one point off table-toppers Norwich City and five points clear of Sheffield United who are in 3rd place.

The Verdict

Lens could be a great signing for Leeds - he possesses real pace and power and can be a real threat down the flanks.

He's obviously put his tough spell at Sunderland behind him and moved on to bigger and better things, and at 31, he's in his prime years and will look to make an impact in England this time around. It could be a masterstroke by Bielsa.
