Juventus have revealed that they have opted against sending Moise Kean out on loan for the remainder of the season according to CalcioMercato via a report from Inside Futbol.

Leeds were thought to be one of the club's interested in a deal to bring Kean to Elland Road for the remainder of this year's campaign, so this latest development will all but end their interest.

Juventus boss, Massimiliano Allegri has made it clear that Kean will be staying with the club as they are short of striking options already this season.

Mario Mandzukic is the only recognised target man that Allegri has available to him, so it's understandable that the Juventus boss is reluctant to let Kean depart on loan.

Kean did start for Allegri's side at the weekend, and scored in a convincing 2-0 win over Bologna in the Coppa Italia.

At the age of 18, he still has a considerable amount of potential to fulfil, and a loan spell could certainly benefit the youngster who has been impressive in his cameo appearances this season for the league-leaders.

Kean is one of the brightest young prospects in European football, and Juventus will be hoping that he can play a starring role in the future success of their club.

Leeds will have to move onto alternative targets after being ruled out of any move for Kean this month, and they'll need to bolster their attacking options ahead of the promotion run in.

The Verdict:

This is a frustrating blow for Leeds.

Although it would have been a real coup to land Kean's signature this month, it will still be the outcome they didn't want to happen.

Kean would have been exactly what Leeds needed to find the missing piece in their promotion jigsaw.
