Leeds United considering move for Premier League midfielder in package deal

Leeds United are reportedly interested in taking Lee Tomlin on loan from Bournemouth, according to Team Talk.

The former Middlesbrough midfielder has been linked with a move to Elland Road as Bournemouth are looking offload the midfielder in a cash-player deal for Lewis Cook.

The Premier League side have made a £5 million enquiry plus Tomlin to the Championship club, and are hoping that will be enough to lure the teenager to the Vitality Stadium.

Tomlin made the £3.5 million switch to the South Coast club in the summer from Middlesbrough, but has failed to make an impact with the Premier League side.

The playmaker has made only six league starts and is desperate to play first team football.

The deal may depend on whether Cook would leave the Championship club, who has expressed his desire to remain at the Yorkshire club and wants to continue to impress Steve Evans in the Championship.

Cook has made 24 appearances for the club this season – scoring just a single goal and broke into the side last year achieving the Young Player of the Year award.

Leeds currently occupy 17th place in the Sky Bet Championship and face Bristol City at Elland Road on Saturday.

Leeds fans… Would you prefer Tomlin to Cook? Is the deal worth it? Let us know in your thoughts and opinions below!
