Leeds United winger Pablo Hernandez has been voted the Championship's Fans' Player of the Month for November, report the club's official Twitter account

The Spaniard scored three times in the club's four November matches, helping them to wins against Wigan Athletic, Bristol City and Reading, whilst also netting in the 4-1 thumping to West Brom.

Another goal at the weekend to beat Sheffield United at Bramall Lane took Hernandez's tally for the season to seven as well as contributing four assists.

The 33-year-old initially made the move to Elland Road on loan in the summer of 2016, making the move permanent in January 2017 and has gone on to score 22 goals and assist 22 more in 94 appearances.

The Whites bounced back into the automatic promotion spots on Saturday thanks to that 1-0 win against the Blades.

They now have a four-point cushion over third-placed West Brom after the Baggies dropped points against Brentford on Monday night.

The verdict

It is hard to argue with this outcome at all.

On his day, there is not a better player in the Championship than Pablo Hernandez and he was on his day a lot in November.

Keeping him fit and firing will be key to the Whites' promotion hopes because none of their promotion rivals have a player like him.
