Leeds United are edging closer to being given the all-clear to extend the loan deals of three players until the end of this year's campaign according to Football Insider.

The report claims that the Whites are confident of being able to extend the loan deals of Ben White, Jack Harrison and Jean-Kevin Augustin until the end of the season, which they claim, could be in July.

White in particular has stood out for Leeds in his first season with the Yorkshire-based club, having formed an impressive display in the heart of the Leeds defence alongside Liam Cooper.

Whilst Harrison has shown vast improvement this term with the Whites, having scored five goals and been on hand to provide seven assists in his 40 appearances in all competitions this term.

Augustin has struggled to make a notable impact since signing on loan in the January transfer window, but recent footage of the striker will be encouraging to see for the Elland Road faithful during the break from competitive action.

Football Insider have previously reported that Illan Meslier's loan deal with Leeds could become a permanent deal in the summer, after making a good impression in his time with the club to date.

Leeds are currently sat top of the Championship table, and will be hoping they can hold their nerve in the race for promotion into the Premier League this season under the guidance of Marcelo Bielsa.

The Verdict:

They'll be hoping to get these deals over the line.

White has been fantastic this season and I wouldn't be surprised if Leeds are to try and push for a permanent move for the Brighton and Hove Albion defender in the summer.

Harrison has also been impressive for Leeds, and it's no surprise to hear that the club are keen to get his loan deal extended until the end of the season.

I can't see anyone stopping Leeds in their bid for promotion this season, especially whilst Marcelo Bielsa is in charge.
