Thomas Christiansen has confirmed he is confident Samuel Saiz will complete his move to Leeds United within the next 24 hours, reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

Leeds announced earlier this week that they had agreed a deal with SD Huesca for Saiz to join the Elland Road outfit – subject to a medical.

That announcement came towards the start of the week and Leeds are yet to confirm Saiz has finalised his move to West Yorkshire.

However, Christiansen has eased fears, insisting that he remains confident Saiz’s £3m move will go ahead, he told the YEP: “On Samu, he will sign. He made the medical test and I believe that everything will be fine.”

The Spanish forward will bolster Christiansen’s attacking options, and will be arriving at Elland Road on the back of an impressive campaign with Huesca in Spain.

The 26-year-old scored 12 goals last season helping Huesca to sixth in the Spanish Segunda Division.

When Saiz completes his move to Elland Road, he will become Leeds’ seventh signing of a busy summer so far.

Pontus Jansson and Hadi Sacko have agreed to turn their loan moves permanent, whilst Mateusz Klich, Madger Gomes, Felix Wiedwald, Vurnon Anita, and most recently, Caleb Ekuban, are all fresh faces at Elland Road.

Christiansen also confirmed that another unnamed player was close to agreeing a move to Elland Road, and that controversial defender, Giuseppe Bellusci, would be leaving Leeds this summer.
