Leeds United's busy summer looks set to continue in the transfer market, with the club set to come under siege once again.

The Whites are already fending off interest for the likes of Kalvin Phillips, while Jack Clarke has already made the move to Spurs, and they could be face a fight to keep another of their top young players, with Burnley interested in signing goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell.

According to the Daily Star, Clarets manager Sean Dyche has identified the 22-year-old as the ideal signing for his club, despite having a wealth of goalkeeping talent in the ranks in the form of Joe Hart, Tom Heaton, and Nick Pope.

Peacock-Farrell was the number one at Elland Road for much of last season but lost his place to Kiko Casilla after a series of errors forced Marcelo Bielsa into the transfer market.

That dip in form doesn't appear to have put off Burnley and Dyche though, with the Turf Moor outfit now looking to add the Northern Ireland stopper to their ranks to add to what is already some impressive depth in the goalkeeping department.

The young goalkeeper has kept 11 clean sheets in the Championship in his 40 appearances so far, and could well be tempted by a move into the top flight with his place as Leeds number one not guaranteed under Bielsa and his coaching staff.

The Verdict

This comes as a surprise really given how much talent Burnley have in the sticks, but you can see the logic in signing a good young goalkeeper too.

For Peacock-Farrell though you would think he would only be going for the money or experience, as he's already made noises before about not being happy as a number two at Elland Road.

He'd not even be number two at Turf Moor as things stand, so from a footballing point of view, it's a move he'd have to think very carefully about whether or not to make this particular move.
