Leeds United manager Neil Redfearn has handed owner Massimo Cellino a list of seven targets he wants this summer, claims the Daily Star.
The list includes Premier League stars such as Tom Ince, Charlie Adam, Jason Shackell, Matty Phillips and Joey Barton, and Brentford striker Andre Gray.
Teh publication claims that Redfearn sees these targets as his way of leading United back to the top flight.
Hull City winger Tom Ince has returned to the club after a stunning loan spell at Derby County. He somehow remains out of favour at the KC Stadium, and was wanted by Redfearn in January. It’s unknown what will happen to him next year.
After a stunning season in the Premier League, it seems highly unlikely that Charlie Adam will leave Stoke City, unless a major wage hike is offered to him.
Redfearn faces fierce competition from Southampton and West Brom for QPR winger Matt Phillips, who has nearly the most assists in Europe in 2015. Rangers will be keen to keep hold of him as they prepare for Championship life again.
Joey Barton is out of contract this summer, and whether he earns a new deal or not will probably be decided at the end of season.
Jason Shackell has been solid in defence for Burnley this season and will have a year left on his contract in June. It’s again unlikely that Burnley will want to let go of their man.
A deal for Andre Gray will teeter on whether Brentford get promoted to the Premier League via the play offs. After only arriving at the club in the summer, Gray probably won’t be moving from Brentford, but it does depend on the offer that is made for him.
Massimo Cellino has been allowed back at the club after a Football League ban, after being convicted of tax evasion in Italy.
His Leeds United side finished in 15th place in the Sky Bet Championship, after amassing 56 points this season.
