Out-of-favour Norwich City right-back Steven Whittaker is being chased by several Championship clubs this month, according to HITC Sport.
The 31-year-old has not featured for Alex Neil’s side since a League Cup tie against Everton in October, after starting the current season as first-choice on the right side of defence.
With his future at the East Anglia club now seemingly in doubt, the report claims that a number of second-tier sides including Leeds are interested in the former Rangers man’s signature, and that the Canaries would be willing to listen to offers for the player.
Whittaker is now effectively fourth choice in his position, with Russell Martin, who has made the switch from centre-back to full-back this season, on-loan Liverpool youngster Andre Wisdom, and new signing Ivo Pinto ahead of him in the pecking order.
The Scotland international has scored six goals in 91 appearances for Norwich since arriving at Carrow Road from Ibrox in the summer of 2012.
City are currently 16th in the Premier League, just two points outside the relegation zone.
