Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford are interested in signing FC Zurich winger Benjamin Kololli, according to reports from Football Insider.

The 27-year-old has endured a hugely impressive season for the Swiss club, scoring 14 goals and producing eight assists from the left side of midfield.

The Kosovo international has established himself as one of the most creative players in the Swiss league over the last few years, scoring 18 goals in 54 games for Lausanne before his move to Zurich in the summer.

And now, it is believed that Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday and Brentford are all interested in signing the tricky winger, who has shone in the Europa League this season.

Leeds will be looking to dust themselves down and go again next season after missing out on promotion to the Premier League - Marcelo Bielsa's future at Elland Road is up in the air, but is believed to have held talks with Victor Orta regarding transfer targets for next season.

Sheffield Wednesday have also let go of wingers George Boyd and Marco Matias following the conclusion of the 2018/19 campaign, so a winger will be on the agenda for Steve Bruce this summer.

The Verdict

Kololli looks to be a very good player on paper, and would be a very welcomed addition for any of the aforementioned clubs.

He is a fast, direct winger who clearly has end product, and with Jack Harrison set to return to Manchester City, Kololli would be a perfect replacement.

This is the type of player that Bielsa should definitely be wanting to bring to Elland Road, if he remains at the club himself.
