Premier League club Burnley want to sign current Leeds United defender Kyle Bartley this summer, according to a report in the Sun.

The big defender has been in superb form for Leeds since his summer season-long loan move from Swansea City, and now Clarets manager Sean Dyche wants to take the midfielder over to Turf Moor for next year.

Burnley are making early moves in the transfer market as they appear resigned to losing star man Michael Keane, with the recent England call-up receiving rave reviews for the majority of what has been an impressive campaign for the Clarets.

And it now appears that Dyche sees Leeds loan star Bartley as the ideal man to replace his outgoing star.

Former Arsenal and Rangers man Bartley has been an ever present for Leeds this season, forging an excellent partnership alongside Pontus Jansson as the club have gone from strength to strength and look set to secure a playoff place in the Championship.

However, Garry Monk will be desperate to keep Bartley at Leeds, and will no doubt be trying to make swift moves of his own once the season is over.

Leeds fans, what do you think? How good has Bartley been? Let us know in the comments!
