Colin Murray believes that Leeds United utility man Stuart Dallas looks ready to take the step up into the Premier League.
Leeds are battling for promotion again under Marcelo Bielsa this season, currently sitting top of the pile with nine games left to play.
Of course, it isn’t clear when Leeds will be able to play those fixtures with the season on hold due to the outbreak of coronavirus, but if, or when, it does resume, Bielsa’s side have a big chance to do something special.
Recently, Colin Murray, 43, welcomed Adam Forshaw onto his ‘Colin Murray’s 52’ podcast, where they discussed Dallas.
Murray, a proud Northern Irishman like Dallas, had high praise for the full-back, saying: “Stuart Dallas is someone that I’ve watched play for years.
“He’s unrecognisable (under Bielsa) and I think that he is Premier League quality as he sits right now.”
QUIZ: Where did these 15 Leeds United players join the club from?
Dallas has made 37 Championship appearances this season under Bielsa, featuring in every league fixture.
Featuring at right-back, left-back and central midfield over different parts of the season, the Northern Irish international has scored three goals and registered one assist.
You can’t deny that there’s been a big improvement in Dallas this season, with the 28-year-old becoming an ultra reliable part of Marcelo Bielsa’s core group of players.
His versatility is so important, whilst his effort and desire to improve has seen him become a proper favourite on the terraces at Elland Road.
Both Murray and Forshaw move to praise him in this podcast, with both clearly thinking very highly of a man that’s been criminally underrated heading into this season.
