Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has put pen to paper on a new four-and-a-half year contract with the Elland Road outfit, the club has confirmed.

Klich has featured in every league game since Marcelo Bielsa's arrival at Leeds at the beginning of last season, and he has now committed his future to the club ahead of Leeds' clash with Blackburn this afternoon.

The Polish midfielder arrived in West Yorkshire back in 2017 and made just nine appearances during his first season at the club, but he has since established himself as a key figure in the Whites' midfield.

He netted 10 goals during his 46 league appearances last season as Leeds' season ended in a play-off semi-final defeat to Derby, while he has started all 15 league matches this term with Bielsa's side currently sitting third in the Championship table.

The 29-year-0ld becomes the latest in a string of Leeds players to sign fresh deals at the club this term with Klich following in the footsteps of the likes of Liam Cooper, Kalvin Phillips and Stuart Dallas.
